Poor Weather Advice
December 13, 2017With poor weather and driving conditions forecast throughout the next week across the UK, we urge all drivers to be as careful as possible for the safety of yourselves and all others. Here are some driving tips that you may find useful:
-
Allow for more time before setting off on your journey to clear windows, mirrors, lights and remove snow from the top of your vehicle.
-
Carry a fully charged mobile phone with the number of your breakdown provider stored in it.
-
Be prepared for the worst eventualities and carry emergency essentials including: boots, blankets, demisting pads, a torch and a hi-vis vest, food, drink and jump leads.
-
Ensure that your tyres have adequate tread as poor tyres will not grip when driving on snow and ice.
The AA Website can be used to access more winter driving hints and tips. As always, the best advice is to drive carefully and if conditions are likely to be dangerous, don’t make any unnecessary journeys.
